While at Fannie Mae, I discovered a challenge when it comes to the understanding of terminology used throughout the mortgage banking industry and terms used throughout their enterprise. Whether it was in meetings, reading through documentation, or just in general conversation, both internal employees and customers have a hard keeping up with all of the acronyms and terms. Most of this is due to multiple meanings, and the realization that there are just way too many to keep up with—not to mention, the new terms rising from internal teams. This has caused a big issue that no one seemed to want to tackle, until now.
MY ROLE:
I led in all aspects in the lifecycle of this project—from the Product Design, User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI), team creation, Agile and Scrum framework, and development. I also worked alongside a product owner, director of technology. software engineers, a Scrum Master, and code testers.
