There are 2 triangles that symbolize the triangle choke hold which is a staple in the Jiu Jitsu art form. The 2 triangles together make the “M’ in Milestone. Each triangle makes a “J” for the words Jiu Jitsu. The triangles also act as a shield of protection. The 4 stars represent the “4 Primary Ground Positions”. Also have the black belt with the “red” stripe, shows one’s mastery.
